The National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Salam Mustapha has boldly stated the 2024 election defeat signals the uncles in NPP must leave the party for the youth.
According to Salam Mustapha, former President Akufo-Addo appointed many young people to his government and they performed well so they are capable of handling the affairs of the party.
Salam Mustapha thanked the oldies for establishing the party but revealed that when the youths need advice they would come to the older generation for advice.
Speaking on Peace FM, Salam Mustapha detailed, “The old generation we thank them, 1992 when they established the party for us, we thank them, but we are the ones holding the party, now it is the party of the youth, our uncles should leave the party for us, and that is what this particular results had communicated to us”.
“We can do it, we are capable, Nana Addo Dankwah appointed a lot of young people who performed well, Abu Jinapor, Sammi Awuku, and Asenso Boakye if I want to mention names we would not finish now.”, he added.
