Frank Annoh-Dompreh the member of parliament for Nsawam Adoagyiri has said the NDC members of parliament should be ashamed that President John Dramani Mahama is travelling on a flight owned by his brother.
According to Annoh-Dompreh Akufo-Addo is different from John Mahama.
He boldly claimed President Akufo-Addo would not travel on his brother’s flight as President Mahama is doing but would use the presidential jet.
Frank Annoh-Dompreh made these comments on the floor of parliament during the debate to approve John Mahama’s ministers.
He is quoted by UTV Ghana to have stated, “ Akufo-Addo will not travel on a flight owned by his brother; you should be ashamed that President Mahama travels on a flight owned by his brother.
His comments come after Minister for Roads Kwame Agbodza on the floor of parliament stated that President Mahama is different from former president Akufo-Addo he would never travel on luxurious private jets.
Meanwhile, Social media some days ago was on fire with Ghanaians speculating after President Mahama travelled on the private jet owned by his businessman brother, Ibrahim Mahama, to The Gambia.
Felix Kwakye Ofosu speaking on TV3 revealed that Mahama using the Dzata jet is an alternative arrangement that has not, in any way, shape, or form, cost the Ghanaian taxpayer a dime.
Meanwhile, that same Akufo-Addo, Annoh Dompreh claims would have used the presidential jet in 2021 President Akufo-Addo was exposed by a member of parliament of North Tongu Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa for hiring luxurious aircraft.
According to the NDC legislator, the trips on the hired jet cost the state £14,000 per hour and a cumulative ¢3.46 million.
