The minority leader of the 9th parliament Afenyo Markin has revealed that he could never have an agreement with the NDC minority in the 8th parliament.
According to Afenyo Markin, Ato Forson will speak to you nicely and have a nice conversation. He would later then call you and say no deal.
Afenyo Markin noted that the NDC minority in the 8th parliament was such a tough, stubborn, and difficult side.
He further asserted that there was a lot of heat on him as the majority leader of the 8th parliament.
Speaking after the inauguration of the 9th parliament Afenyo Markin stated, “Ato my brother no, more eii Ato, Mr. Speaker Ato will talk to you nicely have a good conversation by 5 o clock he would call you and tell you Kwamena no deal. The political committee says we can’t support you. Mr. Speaker many did not understand why I was combative on a number of occasions”.
“There were those who didn’t know how the heat was on me and were saying that you are the majority leader reach out, Mr. Speaker the minority were such a tough, stubborn, and difficult side, you could never have an agreement with them because they were smelling power, and I understand”, Afenyo Markin reiterated.
Meanwhile, the NDC has retained its leadership team for the 9th Parliament, majority leader being Ato Forson, deputy Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, Majority chief whip Governs Kwame Agbodza and his deputy Ahmed Ibrahim.
