Political activist, Oliver Barker-Vormawor says the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will face stiff opposition in running Ghana if it does not act fast.
According to him, the outgoing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has filled critical sectors of the nation with its people, who will posse a threat to the NDC’s tenure.
He named the military, judiciary, police and banking sectors “critical sectors of the economy are in the hands of powerful allies of the opposition.”
“The NDC will now understand how you can win power but yet be powerless,” he revealed.
Barker-Vormawor claimed if the NDC is not vigilant, the NPP will come back to power in 2028.
The activist believes the NDC can only even the playing field with Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL).
Following a historic electoral victory in Ghana’s 2024 general elections, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), led by President-elect John Dramani Mahama, is expected to move ahead with its bold and controversial anti-corruption initiative: Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL).
This initiative, which topped Mahama’s 120-day social contract agenda, aims to address corruption, recover stolen state resources, and ensure accountability within the public sector.
As Ghana faces challenges of systemic corruption, ORAL represents the NDC’s promise to usher in a new era of transparency and equity.
