Political activist, Oliver Barker-Vormawor has questioned the intentions of former government appointees under the erstwhile Akufo-Addo government praying he is appointed into office by the John Dramani Mahama administration.
“I have been getting messages from former Government appointees under the old regime and a lot of its supporters. They keep asking me about appointments and expressing their “sincere wishes” that the Government appoints me to a significant position,” he wrote on X.
Barker-Vormawor has expressed surprise at the position of these Akufo-Addo appointees asking them why they did not lobby for him to be appointed into office by the Akufo-Addo government when they realized his potential.
“Now this is what I have been wondering. Why these people who served in the previous Government didn’t call for me to be appointed then when they were in Government.”
He queried if the Akufo-Addo government and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) never understood his “intellect” and “capacity” just three weeks ago but seem to have him figured out now.
According to him, he does not seek any political appointment as he has vowed to use his “intellect and rare perspectives” to ply his trade in the “public square.”
