Sammi Wiafe Channel One TV broadcaster has expressed his shock at the Appointments Committee of Parliament over the early dismissal of the Minister-designate for the Greater Accra Region, Linda Ocloo at her vetting.
According to Sammi Wiafe who could not believe what he had just witnessed, Greater Accra with all its problems, not a single question to Linda Ocloo.
Linda Ocloo at the appointment committee vetting yesterday after she began her formal introduction was interrupted by Minority Leader and ranking committee member Alexander Afenyo-Markin, who interrupted with kind words of acknowledgement rather than a demanding interrogation.
Shortly after, First Deputy Speaker and Committee Chairman Bernard Ahiafor extended his greetings to Ocloo’s entourage and without further delay, released her, leaving both applicant and witnesses amazed by the tremendous quickness of the vetting process.
Sammi Wiafe reacting to the development in the studios of Channel One TV stated, “Greater Accra region with all its problems, not a single question to a regional minister-designate, incoming supposed to be the head of the regional security council, and because he brought along with all these people as described as battalions, not a single question and she is discharged”.
“Accra with all its problems, Yehowa, herh, and see how all these borla guys take over our streets”, he added.
Meanwhile, some Ghanaians have also criticised the Committee stating, “They wasted the whole day with unnecessary requests to halt the vetting over Oliver’s post, and Afenyo’s obsession with the Defense Minister-designate. The committee members got tired. Blame the minority. Today they majored in the minors”.
“This is disgraceful, to say the least. They should bow their heads in shame”, another social media user wrote.
