Joyce Bawah Mogtari, Special Aide to President John Dramani Mahama, has thrown her support behind Emeafa Hardcastle following her face off with Minority Chief Whip Frank Annoh-Dompreh (MP).
There was a full-blown out confrontation between the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Petroleum Commission, Emeafa Hardcastle, and Member of Parliament (MP) for Nsawam Adoagyiri constituency on January 28, 2025.
The altercation resulted in Annoh-Dompreh being described as a silly child by Emeafa Hardcastle. This was after Annoh-Dompreh threatened to take Emeafa on for describing the minority, which Annoh-Dompreh belongs to in parliament as a micro-minority.
Emeafa Hardcastle has come under criticism for her actions with the minority in parliament seeking sanctions against her.
A section of the Ghanaian public have however, supported Emeafa, including Joyce Bawah Mogtari.
In a post made on her official Facebook page, Joyce Mogtari cried out over the injustice women face, especially when standing up for themselves.
According to her, men are encouraged to be assertive and stand their grounds, but women are not afforded that right.
“Let me say without any fear of equivocation that most often than not, when we stand up for ourselves, we are called disrespectful,” she wrote.
