The Promiseland Concert organized by musician; King Promise turned into a battle ground amongst the musician’s die-hard fans.
During his performance on stage, King Promise who was hyped up took off his leather jacket and threw it into the crowd.
While the jacket was mid-air, King Promise’s fans started fighting over who would take the jacket home.
The jacket was then grabbed by multiple persons as they were all pulling at the jacket, seeking to take the souvenir home and forever remember the concert.
The tussle for the jacket got worse as no one wanted to leave the jacket for any other.
The war for the jacket escalated further with no security personnel intervening while all along King Promise was still on stage performing, oblivious of the ongoing tussle for his jacket.
Fortunately, the tug of war came to an end when one section of the crowd overpowered the other half to secure the jacket, bringing calm to the chaotic scene which also recorded no injuries.
This is not the first time such an incident has been recorded at a concert. There have been numerous cases of fans fighting over a shirt, cap or an apparel thrown by an artiste into a teeming crowd of their fanbase. Although no critical incidents of injury have been recorded in the past, it is still risky for this to happen, especially given the fact that most of the concerts organized in the country have porous security.
