Some youth purportedly belonging to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have attacked a toilet facility in the Ahafo Mim, in the Ahafo Region.
It is alleged that the attack was part of a larger ploy by the youth to takeover the facility.
After the NDC won at the December 7 polls, some youth of the NDC stormed various state agencies, seeking to throw out appointees of the outgone New Patriotic Party (NPP) party.
Some NDC bigwigs have denied the party faithful being behind these attacks.
The Minority caucus in parliament has charged President John Dramani Mahama to quickly call the National Democratic Congress (NDC) party faithful to order.
They described the incidents as alarming and unacceptable, urging the President to act swiftly to restore order.
President John Dramani Mahama, has however admonished the youth of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) against invading and attempting to takeover state owned institutions.
“I know that in 2017 that is what the NPP did after we lost that elections. As soon as we handed over, they started to attack gov’t offices, takeover tolling booths, take over public toilets, go to gov’t offices and throw people out. Seize some people on the streets and take cars from them. We must not do the same thing. Let us show Ghana that we are different,” he stated.
