Ghanaian-US based social commentator Twene Jonas has expressed fear of being deported back to Ghana by the Trump administration.
In a self recorded video, he indicated that Americans would eventually drive out all Africans from their country, and that is what Trump has started.
He disclosed that over 5,000 persons were deported in just a day. This number he says is just from New York City.
Twene Jonas went on to advise Ghanaians in the U.S. living there illegally to stay indoors to escape deportation.
He debunked claims he has been stuck indoors ever since the Trump administration started its mass deportation exercise.
“It is not that I can’t go outdoors. I am not afraid of any human being. It is just that it is cold and I need to enjoy my mansion. If I don’t enjoy my mansion and step out, and get deported for real by Trump then I have lost all my money,” he said amidst laughter.
The White House on Friday announced the start of large-scale deportation operations, stating that President Trump is keeping his ‘promise’ to take strong action against illegal immigration.
In a post on X, the White House emphasized that those entering the United States illegally will face serious consequences.
Earlier, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced the commencement of large-scale deportation operations, stating that 538 illegal immigrant criminals, including a suspected terrorist, four members of the Tren de Aragua gang, and several individuals convicted of sex crimes against minors, have been arrested.
