A Ghanaian female journalist identified as Akosua Agyeikumwaah Afreh has been assaulted by a police man after she was accused of stealing an iPhone 13 Pro Max.
It is alleged that she stole the phone during a Jerryfest event held for kids at the Gbawe astroturf in August 2024.
In a video shared on X, the lady in question was cornered in a phone shop where she was being questioned by the policeman.
Akosua Agyeikumwaah Afreh claimed she did not steal the phone but was rather given the phone by a child at the event who found it.
However, another person in the video who sounded like the phone shop owner, claimed the journalist had brought the phone to him to factory reset for her.
The phone shop owner claimed he sensed foul play and refused to flash the phone and managed to track the owner who got the police involved in the case.
During a confrontation that followed after the police and owner of the phone arrived at the shop, Akosua Agyeikumwaah Afreh was heard denying she stole the phone.
