Although the case of the fire is unknown, fire fighters are currently at the scene attempting to douse the fire.

Shop owners and residents are also helping in the fire fight, while traders who were affected by the fire are also trying to salvage what they can.

The fire in Kwadaso comes a few days after the Kantamanto market in Accra was set ablaze.

Preliminary reports indicate the Kantamanto market fire was started by an electrical fault with the suspicion of arson as well.
