Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akufo Dampare was spotted earlier today directing traffic at the Ridge Roundabout.
The IGP who was in shorts and a t-shirt joined traffic police to direct traffic jam at the roundabout which is one of the major routes leading to the Black Stars Square where President-elect, John Dramani Mahama was being sworn in.
Although some netizens have praised his actions, some have questioned motives behind it.
It has become a matter of public discussions as to whether the IGP will be retained or the Mahama led administration will seek to replace him with another individual of their choice.
There have been rumours of massive shakeups in the public sector as the NDC will seek to replace heads of state institutions and security agencies with persons with affiliations and allegiance to the party.
