Member of Parliament (MP) for Bolgatanga East, Dr. Dominic Akuritinga Ayine has reacted to his nomination as Attorney-General and Minister for Justice Designate.
President Mahama as part of his first three nominations for his cabinet nominated Dr. Dominic Akuritinga Ayine Attorney-General and Minister for Justice Designate.
He also appointed Dr. Ato Forson and John Abdulai Jinapor as Minister for Finance and Minister for Energy respectively.
The nominations which have been submitted to Speaker Bagbin is in accordance with Article 78 (1) of the 1992 Constitution. represent the first set of appointments in President Mahama’s administration.
Dr. Ayine after his nomination took to his Facebook page to celebrate the appointment.
In a brief post, he wrote, “Leadership, Justice, Equality, and Fairness for all,” an indication he has accepted the nomination and will do all he can to ensure the realization of these tenets.
Dr. Ayine who previously served as Deputy Attorney-General and Minister for Justice in the previous John Mahama administration is a seasoned lawyer who has over thirty (30) years of experience.
He holds a Ph.D. in Law from Stanford University, a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Michigan Law School, and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from the University of Ghana.
