Professor Ransford Gyampo, a Professor of Political Science at the University of Ghana has reacted to being appointed as the acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO)of Ghana Shippers Authority.
According to Ransford Gyampo, a neutral stance is not an alternative when one is tasked with addressing wrongdoing within the system.
In a Facebook post after he was announced as the acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO)of Ghana Shippers Authority, Ransford Gyampo wrote, “ There can be no neutrality when one is tasked to help right what is wrong in the service of the NATION”.
The professor further thanked President John Mahama for his appointment adding, “Thank you Prez Mahama; and humbled by the many congratulatory texts. I’ll serve GHANA and remain the YAW GYAMPO that u all know💪”.
Prof. Gyampo, a recognized academic and political analyst is expected to bring his expertise in governance and public administration to the leadership of the Authority.
Ghana Shippers Authority plays a critical role in regulating Ghana’s shipping and logistics sector.
Prof. Ransford Gyampo replaces Kwesi Baffour Sarpong who was appointed by the Akufo-Addo government in December 2024.
