President John Dramani Mahama has pledged the Volta Region will enjoy the desired development under his administration.
According to him, his administration will see to it that no region in the country is deprived from development.
Speaking at the Jubilee Park in Ho during his Thank You Tour, President Mahama reaffirmed his commitment to addressing the region’s long-standing developmental challenges.
He noted that his administration is determined to ensure equitable development in the region, adding that steps have already been taken to engage relevant bodies in implementing a comprehensive development plan.
“The Volta Region has long been a victim of unfulfilled promises, but as I said, this era of neglect will end under this administration,” President Mahama assured.
Among the developmental projects the President pledged to prioritize are the reconstruction of the Ho-Denu road, the revitalization of the Ho Airport, improvement of education and sports infrastructure, and the establishment of modern prototype markets to support local businesses and facilitate international trade.
President Mahama reiterated his dedication to appointing cabinet members based on merit, competence, and their willingness to serve, without leaving the Volta Region out. “I do not doubt that the people of the Volta Region possess the human resource and will play pivotal roles in shaping the future of our nation.” he stated.
