Dr Ekua Amoakoh wrote on X, “Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the “Dzata” presidency. Is the jet being used for free in lieu of another bauxite concession?”

The netizen however reacted to her comment on X with a video of the Acting Spokesperson for President John Dramani Mahama, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, who indicated the President’s trip with the Dzata private jet comes at no cost to the Ghanaian taxpayer.

The netizen further fired Dr Ekua Amoakoh saying, “You’re telling the whole world that you’re stupid! You kept dirtying yourself in the mud! At least if you will do propaganda, do a reasonable one and stop disgracing the doctor fraternity. It’s becoming Ignominious”.

Meanwhile, Kwakye Ofosu has also indicated that John Mahama is committed to using the presidential jet as soon as he receives the all-clear from the Ghana Armed Forces.

Felix Kwakye Ofosu speaking on TV3 revealed that Mahama using the Dzata jet is an alternative arrangement that has not, in any way, shape, or form, cost the Ghanaian taxpayer a dime.

Speaking on TV3, the President’s spokesperson, Felix Kwakye Ofosu detailed, “This alternative arrangement has not, in any way, shape, or form, cost the Ghanaian taxpayer a dime. President Mahama is mindful of the precarious economic situation we are in and, therefore, is committed to utilizing public funds in the most prudent way”.

“He is not about to spend millions of Ghanaian cedis, as was the case under the previous government, to rent expensive aircraft. This aircraft has been available to him since his days in opposition, and he has used it” he added.

He further added, “In fact, some of his visits immediately after his election as President in December 2024 were made using this jet. It has not led to any cost to the Ghanaian taxpayer.
