President John Dramani Mahama has announced key National Security appointments.
In a letter from the Presidency communication signed by the spokesperson to the President Felix Kwakye Ofosu revealed his appointment to Ghanaians.
According to the statement the appointment of these person reflects President Mahama’s commitment to enhancing national security and ensuring the safety of citizens.
The statement further revealed, Former Chief of Staff Prosper Douglas Bani has been appointed as National Security Advisor to the President.
The statements read, “Former Chief of Staff Prosper Douglas Bani has been appointed National Security Advisor to the President. Mr Bani, a former Minister for the Interior, brings a wealth of experience and expertise.
DCOP Abdul-Osman Razak will serve as the National Security Coordinator, ensuring a cohesive strategy across all security initiatives.
COP Nathan Kofi Boakye (Rtd.) has been appointed Director of Operations at the Presidency to oversee operational effectiveness in security matters.
Charles Kipo has been named Director General of the National Intelligence Bureau”.
Meanwhile, President John Mahama has stated he will charge his security appointments to make Bawku one of the top priorities.
He assured the people of Bawku he was putting in place the various appointments so that we could have ministers and other officials responsible for security to take charge.
