The second batch of President John Mahama’s ministerial nominees will be vetted by the Appointment Committee of Parliament from Thursday, January 23 to Monday, January 27, 2025.

President Mahama yesterday January 16, 2025, submitted the names of twelve (12) individuals to serve as Regional and Sector Ministers to parliament for approval.

Out of the 12 names, three (3) of them have been nominated as Regional Ministers, with the remaining nine (9) being nominated as Ministers of State.

According to a memo sighted the appointment committee will hold a meeting for the vetting of Ministers at  8:30 AM daily, which will take place in Committee Rooms 1, 2, and 3 at the New Administration Block of Parliament.

The committee have already vetted Cassiel Ato Forson (Finance), John Jinapor (Energy), and Dominic Ayine (Attorney General and Justice).

Meanwhile, President Mahama has so far named 12 regional ministers, and 12 sector ministers.
