The Member of Parliament for Yapei-Kusawgu, John Abdulai Jinapor has been named the energy minister-designate.
John Abdulai Jinapor was born on 8 June 1979, is a Ghanaian politician and a former Minister of State of Ghana.
He attended Ghana Senior High School in Tamale.
Hon. Jinapor holds a Master of Arts Degree (MA) in Economic Policy Management, an MBA in Marketing and a Master of Science (MSc) in Development Finance from the University of Ghana.
He also holds a Master of Science (MSc) Degree in Energy Economics from GIMPA and a Postgraduate Diploma in Finance and Financial Law from the University of London.
John Jinapor contested the 2016 general election on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress and won the Yapei Kusawgu parliamentary seat.
The energy minister-designate brings a wealth of hands-on experience and know-how to the energy portfolio.
With his extensive qualifications, particularly in energy economics and finance, he is expected to bring much-needed dynamism and capabilities to transform Ghana’s energy sector.
