A New Patriotic Party Activist Gen. Buhari has alleged Ghana’s incoming vice president Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyeman is single.
According to Gen. Buhari for the first time since the 4th Republic Ghana would not have a 2nd gentleman or a 2nd Lady.
Gen. Buhari wrote on his X post, “For the first time since the inception of the 4th republic, Ghana wouldn’t have 2nd gentleman or 2nd lady. Our Vice is single ❤️”.
The NPP activist asserted that the 2nd lady or gentleman position is public and not private, hence his interest. He also defended his post when questioned by some Ghanaians stating “Can you point out a lie in my post? Isn’t the woman single?”
Meanwhile, some Ghanaians have descended on Gen. Buhari for making such a post, an X user wrote under his post, “This kind of thing lead to the massive rejection and defeat of the NPP oooo. You couldn’t get any better picture of our Veep than this? Is there any provision in our constitution or any law that states marriage as a requirement for VP? You can do better bro”.
Another stated, “You’re just a liability who thinks you’re contributing to selling the NPP’s brand and I wonder why the @nppghanahq do not see you played a major role in their defeat”.
Meanwhile, Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyeman will officially become Ghana’s first female vice president tomorrow, January 7, 2025, after the swearing-in of President-elect John Dramani Mahama.
