Dr Joseph Siaw Agyepong, the Executive Chairman of Jospong Group of Companies has hailed President John Dramani Mahama’s 24-hour economy.
According to Dr Joseph Siaw Agyepong, the 24-hour economy is a very laudable idea.
He asserted that his companies are going to try to rationalize their operations to meet the 24-hour economy policy.
Dr Joseph Siaw Agyepong further revealed they are going to work at night and morning monitor and bring to book persons who dump refuge at night.
Dr Joseph Siaw Agyepong is quoted by Graphic Online to have stated, “President Mahama’s idea of the 24-hour economy is a very laudable idea. We are going to try to rationalize our operations to meet that. We are going to work at night and in the morning so that we can bring those guys who have been dumping in the night to book”.
“We will be monitoring them, we will go after them with all the necessary equipment and enforcement. We just need the assembly to support us; we are going to work 24 hours”, he added.
Meanwhile, Manasseh Awuni has over the years trailed Jospong with all kinds of allegations and stories and pushed for governments to bring the Jospong conglomerate down which has fallen on deaf ears.
According to him, Zoomlion a company owned by Jospong has been implicated in many corrupt deals in Ghana.
It has been revealed that the current arrangement between Zoomlion and YEA reveals that Zoomlion receives GHS 850 but the workers take home just GHS 250 a month.
