The Senior Partner of the KPMG, Anthony Kwasi Sarpong, has been named the Acting Commissioner-General of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA).
He has been appointed by President John Dramani Mahama.
In a letter signed by the Secretary to the President, Callistus Mahama on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, made this known.
A letter from the Office of the President stated, “His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, President of Republic of Ghana in accordance with 195 (1) of the Constitution and Section 13(1) of the Ghana Revenue Act, 2009 (Act 791) has appointed you as the Acting Commissioner-General of the Ghana Revenue Authority pending receipt of the Constitutionally required advice of the government Board, given in consultation with the Public Services Commission”.
Anthony Kwasi Sarpong appointment takes effect from Tuesday, January 21, 2025, and has 14 days to either accept the appointment or reject it.
