Unknown persons have destroyed musical equipment worth thousands of cedis belonging to the Obogu Presbyterian Church in the Asante Akyem South district of the Ashanti Region.
The vandalizers who broke into the church premises destroyed all the musical equipment and left every other thing untouched.
A member of the church discovered the vandalism and recorded a video of the aftermath.
In the video he can be heard saying, “Some thieves broke into the church premises this dawn to destroy our musical equipment. Look at the organ in pieces now. Organs are now expensive and they’ve just destroyed what we used here. They’ve even cut our drums into pieces. They did not touch our flat screen television and others but only destroyed out musical equipment.”
Reasons behind the destruction is still unknown.
The video after being posted on social media has received a number of comments and reactions from netizens.

@D_evil0 – It’s simply means our problems as Ghanaians will be solved once we convert all church into factory’s
@papayaw707 – Maybe they should allow the neighbors to sleep ! I’m very sure the neighbors got angry and decided to take action.
@John_Kennedy_A – The suspect will probably be someone you guys know. You didn’t pay them. It’s revenge I will presume. Pay your drummers, then the real criminal will be revealed.
@dowlace – Not to defend the crime but this could be a protest against noise pollution
@premooooooo – They didn’t steal anything but he said they’re thieves. Massa you people dey make noise in the neighbourhood Yesterday was Friday so I’m sure the alright no make them sleep. Think.
@Aboki_CleDre – how is he calling them thieves if they didn’t steal anything? everyone watching the video knows why they did what they did except opana in the video
@Nanaezze – A bit Ironic. Orthodox Church and Noise? A lot has changed. Make them get sound proof
