An old video of the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia revealing that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) threatened the managing director of a private company to sack his son when they won power has resurfaced.
According to Asiedu Nketia, his son was working in a private company at the port when the NPP won the election and threatened the managing director to sack him, or they revoked his licenses.
Speaking on Starr Chat, Asiedu Nketia revealed, “My son was working in a private company at the port, and when NPP won, they actually went and threatened the managing director of that company to sack Asiedu Nketia’s son or revoke your licenses. So, he was sacked, but it is public”.
Meanwhile, President John Dramani Mahama has urged supporters of the NDC not to repeat the same behavior that NPP supporters exhibited in 2017.
John Mahama noted that in 2017, just after handing over power, the NPP attacked state institutions, seized properties, and assaulted public officers.
According to John Mahama, the NDC supporters must not do the same thing and must show Ghanaians that the NDC is different.
Despite John Mahama’s calls there have been reports that Gun and Machete were pulled as some youths, suspected of being members of the NDC, attacked a toilet operator at Ahafo Mim following an attempt to seize the facility.
Also, some alleged supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have besieged the Baba Yara Sports Stadium forcibly evicting employees from their offices and locking the premises.

When NPP came into power, even a big time politician like Asiedu Nketia’s Son was sacked from his Job because of politics.
