Social media is awash with shock following a verdict handed down to a 52-year Muslim man for stealing a pig.
Salifu Imoro has been sentenced to an imprisonment term of three (3) years by the Nsuta Circuit Court for stealing a pig.
There have been some guesses as to why he stole the big, including to sell and for some to allegedly eat in secret, but it has not been confirmed why he stole the pig.
Pork is a food taboo among several religions, including Jews, Muslims. The pig is considered an unclean food in Islam.
It has surprised many why the Muslim man will steal a pig which is considered unclean in Islam and generated a number of conversations on X.
