Ghanaians on social media have descended heavily on Richard Ahiabgah, the Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
According to Richard Ahiabgah in a post on X, Ghanaians must hold the NDC and Mahama responsible for the murder of 8 Ghanaians in the Obuasi chaos.
A violent clash between small-scale miners and the military has led to 8 persons reportedly dead in Obuasi. The military personnel were said to be guarding the AngloGold Ashanti (AGA) Obuasi Mine.
The information gathered reveals four vehicles have also been burnt following the clash. Reports suggest the incident happened last night on January 18, which has heightened tensions.
Richard Ahiagbah wrote ob X, “Ghanaians must hold the NDC and the John Mahama Administration responsible for the murder of these eight Ghanaians owing to their inaction to inform, caution, or advise the members of the NDC who have taken the laws into their own hands and storming institutions under the guise that it is their government that is in power”.
“Just 12 days in office, 8 avoidable slaughters simply because the NDC refused to heed the call to bring their rampaging members to order”, he wrote.
Ghanaians under his post have been blasting the NPP communicator, one X user stated, “ Richard, are you forgotten of eight person killed for power in 2020 elections, Ejura killing, Ayawaso by_ elections forces, Bawku political killing, Garu-Bugre beating and soon? You now Read’s the Bible? The judgement day is coming,we will see the real face of the politician”.
Another stated, “ Mr Ahiagbah!!! Shame one you my boss. You betrayed Ghana. Yet you sit on social media to make this opaque statement. You should be ashamed of yourself. The galamsayers went there because your government couldn’t give them jobs”.
