Sympathizers of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have appealed to President-elect John Dramani Mahama not to repeat the ills of the outgoing Akufo-Addo led government.
They urged him to make appointments and rewarded people based on inclusivity and meritocracy as he assumes office as the President of Ghana.
Some NDC supporters at the Black Stars square for the inauguration ceremony of John Dramani Mahama expressed concerns over the alleged favoritism and nepotism that characterized the outgoing Nana Akufo-Addo administration.
They claimed that the previous government prioritized awarding contracts and opportunities to relatives and close associates, a practice they believe contributed to Ghana’s current economic challenges and widespread hardship.
The sympathizers stressed the importance of transparency, accountability, and a fair distribution of opportunities to restore public trust and steer Ghana toward economic recovery.
Many expressed hope that President Mahama’s administration would uphold the principles of good governance and work towards building a better Ghana for all.
As Mahama prepares to take the reins, all eyes are on his government’s approach to addressing pressing national issues and delivering on his pledge for inclusive development.
