The member of parliament further revealed Ghanaians now vote based on the issues and not about the party they belong to.

Speaking on TV3 Murtala Mohammed stated, “Retaining power will be anchored on how we govern, the people of Ghana vote based on the issues and not about the party they belong to”.

“Implementation of policies by John Dramani Mahama will ensure that the NDC continues to be in power”, he added.

He warned fellow NDC members against the arrogance of power, suggesting that the NPP’s defeat was a result of arrogance.

“The arrogance of power was also worrying. One thing we don’t joke about is political power. Those things were a major factor in the fall of the NPP,” Murtala detailed.

Meanwhile, John Dramani Mahama the president of Ghana has hit the ground running declaring to the business community that Ghana is once again open to business.

According to John Mahama, the business community’s role in driving the Ghanaian economy cannot be overstated.

He asserted that the community’s innovation and dedication will be the backbone of his government’s success.
