The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has made a twenty-one percent (21%) gain in its Ashanti Region voter margins.
Going into the 2024 elections the NDC had just seventeen percent (17%) of the total number of voters in the Ashanti Region, but now they have seen an astronomical rise to thirty-eight percent (38%).
The NDC now is the most favorite party in the Ashanti Region, overtaking the New Patriotic Party (NPP) which over the years have enjoyed the perks of the region being its stronghold.
As at November 2024, the NPP had fifty-six (56%) percent of voters margins.
However, just two months later, the NPP is losing its appeal in the region.
The party has dropped nineteen (19%) percent as only thirty-seven (37%) of voters now openly associate with the party.
Should this voter appeal continue in this direction, the NPP may eventually lose the Ashanti Region as its stronghold.
