Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin says the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Members of Parliament (MP) will in now way be intimidated by the Majority Caucus.
According to him, the NPP MPs will fully cooperate with the National Democratic Congress (NDC) majority in parliament, but will not be a walk over for them.
Speaking about the vetting in parliament, he indicated that the NDC will not stop them from asking all the relevant questions in the process.
“Nothing will stop us from asking the relevant questions. Some of their nominees spend 5 minutes. NDC is always up to intimidating people. They think that they must always bully people. We will not accept any bully,” he told the press.
He urged the majority group to feel free to refer to them as a micro-minority but that will not stop them from doing their work.
The minority on the Appointments Committee has been said to have hijacked the Appointments Committee, asking questions deemed irrelevant.
However, the minority, led by Afenyo-Markin insists all questions asked the nominees are relevant.
