A Church secretary has been arrested for allegedly stealing GHS 300,000 church funds to sponsor his gay partner.
According to reports Hayford Kofi Baah a 25-year-old church secretary is a married man with children who stole the church’s GHS300,000 funds for his gay partner for his school fees at the University.
His gay partner has been identified as Douglas Agyenim Boateng who is said to be studying at the university with expensive school fees.
The information gathered from the New Crusading Guide also revealed some of the church’s funds have also been given to his gay partner for his travel expenses to Canada.
Some Ghanaians have reacted to the story shared by EDHUB, stating, “Are we seriously suggesting that, had this accused Church Secretary spent the money on sponsoring a female partner, it would’ve been considered a lesser crime?”
Another social media user under the post wrote, “The money belongs to the lord. No one should have to be arrested for stealing from their father”
Additionally, an X user identified as a Good citizen also wrote, “He shouldn’t be arrested. The good Lord that gave the church that colossal amount will definitely multiply it. The Bible says, to forgive is to divine. 🙏🙏🙏”.
