Five new ministers have been sworn into office at the Jubilee House on Friday, January 24, 2025 by President John Dramani Mahama.
Their swearing-in follows their approval by Parliament after going through a thorough vetting process between January 23 and 24, 2025.
The five ministers sworn in were; Abla Dzifa Gomashie – Minister for Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts, George Opare Addo – Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment, Emelia Arthur – Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture Development, Ahmed Ibrahim – Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Religious Affairs and Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare – Minister for Trade, Industry, and Agribusiness
At the swearing-in ceremony, President Mahama reiterated the critical roles and expectations placed on the ministers in ensuring and championing the nations developmental agenda.
He called on them to demonstrate diligence, accountability, and innovation in addressing the nation’s pressing challenges.
He also asked them be transparent and promote inclusivity in the execution of their duties, urging them further to prioritize collaboration with stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery of their mandates.
