President John Dramani Mahama has submitted the names of twelve (12) individuals to serve as Regional and Sector Ministers to parliament for approval.

Out of the 12 names, three (3) of them have been nominated as Regional Ministers, with the remaining nine (9) being nominated as Ministers of State.
The nominees include;
Ministers of State
- Kwame Governs Agbodza, MP – Ministry of Roads and Highways
- Eric Opoku, MP – Ministry of Food and Agriculture
- Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, MP – Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection
- George Opare-Addo – Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment
- Haruna Iddrisu, MP – Ministry of Education
- Ahmed Ibrahim, MP – Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs
- Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, MP – Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness and Industry.
- Emelia Arthur MP Fisheries and Aquaculture
- Abla Dzifa Gomashie MP- Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts.
This brings the Sector Ministers-designate to twelve (12), with eleven (11) more remaining as President Mahama revealed he is going to operate only twenty-three (23) ministries.

- Western North Region- Wilbert Petty Brentum
- Central Region – Eduamoah Ekow Panyin Okyere
- Western Region- Joseph Nelson
This brings the total of Regional Ministers-designate to thirteen (13) with two more remaining.
