Kevin Taylor a US-based vlogger has reacted to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’ statue being completely destroyed.
The statue was located at the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital in Sekondi has been broken by unidentified people.
According to reports the statue was toppled and broken at about 1:30 am on January 13, 2025.
According to Kevin Taylor he was coming to Ghana this month to see Akufo-Addo’s statue for himself.
He added that since it has been destroyed, he will cancel his trip to Ghana with a crying emoji added.
Kevin Taylor wrote on X, “Oh I was going to Ghana this month to see it oooooo then let me cancel my trip 😭😭😭”
Meanwhile, this was the second time the statue had been destroyed with the first a hole was created at the left leg.
Meanwhile, the statue unveiled some months ago at Effia Nkwanta in the Western Region, was met with immense outrage from the public.
The Western Regional Minister Kwabena Okyere Darko Mensah explained that the statue honors the president’s initiatives in the region, the rehabilitation of Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital, the construction of a 3-tier Sinohydro interchange, and the redevelopment of the Takoradi Market Circle.
