Ghanaian media personality has swooped in to the rescue of actor Kwaku Manu.
Her intervention follows intense criticism suffered by Kwaku Manu after he wore a t-shirt to the presidential dinner held after the swearing-in of President John Dramani Mahama.
The dinner which was well attended by some head of states and other dignitaries was a black tie event with attendees wearing their best tuxedos and suits with females spotting their best dinner dresses.
Kwaku Manu however appeared at the dinner with a white t-shirt, wine-colored trousers and a white sneaker, making him stand out amongst other guests.
When the video surfaced online, the actor was intensely criticized for his choice of outfit for such an event, with many adding that his outfit was inappropriate and a disrespect to the host of the dinner, President John Dramani Mahama.
Bridget Otoo however does not agree with criticisms suffered by Kwaku Manu and called out Ghanaians for their double standards.
According to her, these same Ghanaians criticizing Kwaku Manu would have done otherwise if the likes of the nation’s billionaires Ibrahim Mahama or Dr. Osei Kwame Despite dressed that casually to the same dinner.
In a post on her X page she wrote, “Why would you drag Kwaku Manu? If Despite or Ibrahim Mahama wore this, you would be here doing “see how the rich dress simple” let him be free.”
