Chief of Staff to President Mahama, Julius Debrah, has been named by National Democratic Congress (NDC) grassroots as their favourite candidate for 2028 flagbearer race.
According to them, he is the best option out of the lot to lead the party, citing he is one of the few in the party who have not been compromised.
Amongst the list provided, Ato Forson and Asiedu Nketia came in second (2nd) and third 3rd) favourite to lead the party in 2028, while Okudzeto Ablakwa was their fifth (5th) favourite.
In order of the most desired candidate for NDC in 2028, this is how they ranked;
1. Julius Debrah
2. Ato Forson
3. Asiedu Nketiah
4. Armah Buah
5. Okudzeto
6. Eric Opoku
7. Agbodza
With President John Dramani Mahama serving his second and final term in office, there have been speculations as to who leads the party in the 2028 elections.
Although none of these names have announced their decision to contest the party’s flagbearership, Ghanaians are calmly waiting for the open of nominations for the race.
They, however, ruled out Haruna Iddrisu (MP) and Muntaka Mohammed, stating, “They are full of themselves and care less about the grassroot.”
