John Mahama the president-elect has thanked President Akufo-Addo ahead of his inauguration tomorrow.
The incoming president of Ghana thanked Akufo-Addo side of the transition team for what has been a cordial and smooth transition.
According to John Mahama, he would continue the spirit of cooperation with Akufo-Addo.
Speaking during his visit to the Jubilee House, John Mahama stated, “It is a privilege to be here with you, a day before the inauguration I want to thank you and your side of the transition team for what has been a cordial and smooth transition, we do think we are quite ready, the information we have to start work”.
“It is conventional to meet on the last day as it where I take over the premises, the last time I was president I didn’t leave here, so you are the first occupant of this premises even though I am familiar with the geography, I want to thank you for the smooth transition and even in government we will continue the spirit of corporation”, he stated.
Meanwhile, President Akufo-Addo has given president-elect John Dramani Mahama and Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang a tour of the seat of government.
On Monday, January 6, President Akufo-Addo took John Mahama and Prof. Jane Naana on the tour an opportunity for them to make them acquainted with the Jubilee House.
President Akufo-Addo term in office will officially end tomorrow with John Mahama swearing in ceremony taking place at the Black Star Square.
