Reacting to John Jinapor’s nomination, an X user @Arthurockgh wrote on his X page, “The Jinapor brothers made the best decision for their lives and respective families, the cake never go finish for dema side.”

His reaction stems from the fact that John Abdulai Jinapor and his brother Samuel Abu Jinapor are both politicians in Ghana.

While John Abdulai Jinapor is a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), his brother, Samuel Abu Jinapor is a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

In the erstwhile NPP government, Samuel Abu Jinapor was the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources.

Netizens believe because the two brothers belong to opposing political parties, neither of them will ever go hungry as either of them will always have a cabinet position regardless of the party in power.

It is not uncommon to see most Ghanaian politicians have families and relations in the two major political parties; NDC and NPP. In some cases, there are have been leading members of the NPP married to members of the NDC.
