Afenyo Markin the minority leader of parliament has boldly stated it is a notorious fact that Vormawor is a member of the NDC tradition.
According to Oliver Vormawor, the Appointments Committee has been demanding money from ministering appointed vetted before their approval in parliament.
Afenyo Markin at the appointment committee yesterday, 28 January 2025 stated, “It’s a notorious fact that Mr Vormawor is a member of the NDC tradition and this is coming from him against the NDC members on this committee with its vicarious effect on the entire members of this committee.
What it means is that you have done something, as he claims but we share in that liability with you as the minority caucus”.
Oliver has since been summoned to substantiate his claims that the committee has been demanding money from ministerial nominees.
Bernard Ahiafor, the Chairman of the Appointments Committee on Tuesday, January 28 dismissed the allegations stating, “I’m ever ready to submit myself to ORAL. We need to stop certain attitudes. So, therefore I Benarad Ahiafor, and the chairman of the committee want to place it on record that myself and the committee members don’t demand money from any nominees before vetting and approval.”
“So, I am therefore directing the Clerk to the Committee to invite him to appear before the committee tomorrow [Wednesday] to substantiate his claims, or we will apply the necessary law”, he added.
Meanwhile, Oliver in a short statement on X stated he looks forward to appearing before the Appointments Committee today.
