Dr Randy Abbey, Journalist and football administrator and the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) has stated he is just the owner of Kpando Heart of Lions.
The popular television host Randy Abbey officially stepped down from his role as the Managing Director of Ignite Media Group (IMG), the parent company of Metro TV, Original TV, and Original FM, on December 31, 2024.
Randy Abbey has since been appointed chairman of the Black Stars Management Committee charged with leading engagement with the Government and other stakeholders, and the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD).
According to Randy Abbey, he does not run the day-to-day activities of Kpando Heart of Lions.
The COCOBOD CEO was reacting to a Journalist asking him how he was going to combine the three roles of managing COCOBOD, Hearts of Lions, and Black Stars Management Committee.
He stated, “I don’t run Hearts of Lion on a day-to-day basis, I am the owner, it ends there I am the president of the club that’s it, there are those who run it, there are people who run it”.
