Ghanaian international, Thomas Partey says he will not be restricted to playing a particular position in Arsenal.
The player is ready to sacrifice for the team and will put his best foot forward regardless of the role assigned to him on the field of play by Mikel Arteta.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta was heavily criticized for using Thomas Partey as a right back in their game against Brighton with some fans blaming him for the club’s inability to win the game.
However, Thomas Partey when asked about how he feels about his new position said his personal glory is not important to him as long as the team benefits from his sacrifice on the pitch.
“I’m a professional, and I’ll play anywhere to help the team. I’m available to play in any position; I’ll do my best and give my best all the time. If I can do better and improve, I’ll be happy. There are moments when the team needs me, and I have to be there, and I’m always happy to help the team,” he said.
Thomas Partey urged his teammates to put the Brighton game behind them and focus on the next against Manchester United.
“We are sad and frustrated; everybody is down, but that’s part of football. We wanted to win, to keep the momentum going, but at the end of the day, we didn’t get it. We need to forget about today and keep working hard to win the next game.
