The newly appointed Chief Executive Officer, Malik Basintale has warned the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) staff.
According to Malik, staff of YEA who have the intention to make money better resign and go home.
He revealed his only mandate is to deliver jobs to the unemployed youth.
Malik further asserted that he feels the plight of many unemployed Ghanaian youth and sees it as a national security threat.
Speaking to YEA staff on Monday, January 27 Malik Basintale stated, “There shouldn’t be any fear, I have one mandate, that is to achieve in delivering jobs the the unemployed youth, it is very dear to my heart”.
“Many of you who have watched me, on TV and so on social media during the campaign I have never appeared without feeling the plights of the many unemployed Ghanaian youth and I feel it is a national security threat”.
The Basintale boy added, “The more people that are unemployed the more they pick up alms to do or sorts of things, and you and I who are employed will be at risk, so it is incumbent on us to find ways to create sustainable jobs for the youths”.
Malik Basintale further sent a warning to YEA staff who only aim to make money from the institutions.
“What I don’t like and I keep saying is that if your intention is to make money or look for money then today, you better resign, and then go home, we are not here not look for money, we are here to work and make his excellency the president of the republic of Ghana John Mahama proud”, he bodly warned.
