Ghanaian actress, Nana Ama McBrown has shared how she felt after she was accused of being responsible for the death of budding actress Suzzy Williams.
Speaking about the rumors which hurt her deeply, Nana Ama McBrown said, “I was shocked and heartbroken. Why would I do such an abominable thing? Suzzy was like a sister to me. We worked together frequently, and there was no competition or jealousy between us.”
McBrown had been out of the country and was just returning from a Trip to Italy when she heard about Suzzy William’s death.
“I immediately called our senior colleague, Kofi Adjorlolo, who confirmed the news. He told me he was at the mortuary where Suzzy’s body had been sent”, she added.
“I was devastated when I was accused of having a hand in Suzzy Williams’ death,” she said, calling the allegations baseless and hurtful,” emphasizing she had nothing to do with her death as they were close friends.
Suzzy Williams, a talented young actress, died in a car crash on September 8, 2005, at the age of 23. Her death shocked the entire country considering her soaring fame at the time.
After the accident, rumours spread that Nana Ama McBrown had a hand in her death, with claims that she was envious of the deceased’s progress in the industry and the competition she gave her at the time.
