Oliver Barker-Vormawor, activist and Democracy Hub organizer has boldly claimed he has always voted constantly for the CPP and I will continue to do so.
According to Vormawor, he is not an NDC as it has been claimed by many Ghanaians.
Afenyo Markin the minority leader of parliament yesterday, 28 January 2025 had stated it is a notorious fact that Vormawor is a member of the NDC tradition.
At the appointment committee, Afenyo Markin stated, “It’s a notorious fact that Mr Vormawor is a member of the NDC tradition and this is coming from him against the NDC members on this committee with its vicarious effect on the entire members of this committee.
Appearing before the Committee on January 29 over allegations of bribery involving the appointment committee, Vormawor detailed, “Unfortunately, I must address the claims that it is a notorious fact he’s a member of the NDC. With the victory of the NDC, now everybody says they are NDC members. But this is completely untrue. I have not been a member of the NDC in the past”.
“And it is my hope that my ideology which has always been stated, I have always voted constantly for the CPP and I will continue to do so”, he reiterated.
Meanwhile, Oliver Barker-Vormawor a Social activist has rendered an apology to the Appointments Committee of Parliament following his bribery allegation.
According to Vormawor, his post was not intended to disparage members of the Committee.
Mr Barker-Vormawor stated, “I’m saying here clearly that my post was not intended to disparage members of the committee and I have not intended to say that members of this committee have received or demanded bribes from various individuals. At no point was my statement intended to communicate the same and for these reasons, I apologise,”
“I am happy to pull it down as the conversation has indicated and clarity has been brought to it,” Oliver Vormawor reiterated.
