An old video of Captain Smart boldly calling out AngloGold Ashanti had resurfaced following the Obuasi chaos.

In the old video Captain Smart stated, “Ghanaian youth in Kumasi, go to the pit, go there with Vim, everyone should go there, you are mad, go there, AGA (Anglo Gold Ashanti) if you guys don’t take care we will chase you out of this country I swear”.

“If you are not careful we will chase you out of this country, because listen can you use cyanite to create a hole almost 100 meters square in South Africa? Cyanite squares 100 meters about three of them in South Africa” he added.

Captain Smart has finally addressed the controversy surrounding the viral video in which he appears to direct the youth in Obuasi to enter the AngloGold Ashanti mines.

He revealed that he does not owe anybody an explanation but the video in question is from 2023 and not recent.

Speaking in a self-recorded video Captain Smart stated, “I don’t owe anybody an explanation, but I just want you to know that the video circulating as if it were a video from today, the video is from June 2023, and the guys were already working there, 2023 they were working, they were going to the pit”.

“2024 they were still going to the pit, it is an abandoned pit, so whoever is pushing anybody to use an old video to come and portray it as if Captain Smart said it yesterday in the morning the incident happened”.

He further went on to bragged describing himself as the King of Morning Shows in Ghana.

Captain Smart bragged, “I know I am the king of morning shows that is number one, number two I know when it comes to information in this country on radio and TV I am number one if you like believe it or not. Number three I know if I open my mouth and say something it happens exactly. So, people rushing to go and use that video as if it is a recent video, the video is from June 2023”.
