The Member of Parliament for Bole Bamboi, Yusif Sulemana, has declared that he has no plans to lobby President-elect John Dramani Mahama for a ministerial appointment or any other position in the incoming administration.
He emphasized that his relationship with the President-elect transcends lobbying, and he is prepared to serve in whatever capacity Mahama deems appropriate.
In an interview on GHOne TV on Wednesday, January 1, 2024, the MP expressed confidence in John Mahama’s leadership and noted that he had anticipated his return to the presidency.
Recounting a conversation with Mahama on election day, he said, “I told him to go and start preparing his ministerial list because he had won. Not long after, he was announced the President.”

Yusif Sulemana dismissed the need for him to lobby, explaining that he is a close ally of the President-elect.
“Who do I lobby? I’m always with the man. Three days ago, I was with him. Consistently, I’m around him.
He knows me. Wherever he decides to put me, that’s fine.
If he wants me to remain in Parliament, I have no problem with that”, he stated.
