A netizen has shaded the minority leader of parliament, Alexander Afenyo-Markin.
The social media user has asserted that Afenyo Markin is asking dumb questions in the ongoing ministerial parliamentary vetting.
According to the X user, Afenyo Markin asking where people live and their partners has no bearing on their capacity.
He further called on the minority leader to ask sensible questions for Christ-sake.
The X user took to social media and posted his disappointment, writing, “ @AfenyoMarkin just asking very dumb questions. Asking about where people live and their partners has no bearing on their capacity.
Ask sensible questions for Christ-sake. In fact, it’s very disappointing the sort of questions the NPP MPs are asking”
Meanwhile, the African Centre for Parliamentary Affairs (ACEPA) has voiced concerns over the current vetting process for ministerial nominees, labelling it as unsatisfactory.
ACEPA asserts that the conduct of members from both the majority and minority of Parliament has hampered the process, preventing a thorough examination of nominees on significant state problems.
Godfred Akoto Boafo a journalist has also critiqued the Appointments Committee of Parliament for not exhibiting a high level of seriousness in the ongoing ministerial vetting process.
