Seidu Abubakar, aka Mba was engaged in an altercation with police officers during the inauguration of President Mahama yesterday, January 7, 2025.
Mba was one of the key persons in the middle of the kidnapped Canadian girls saga which happened in 2019.
The two Canadian women were kidnapped by unidentified gunmen in the country’s second largest city, Kumasi.
The two students, aged 19 and 20, were working as volunteers for a charity.
Seidu Abubakar, aka Mba and three others were arrested in connection with the kidnapping but were later released following the decision of the Attorney-General (A-G) to drop the charges of conspiracy to commit kidnapping and kidnapping against them.
Mba after his release had kept a rather low profile until recently.
It is still unclear what caused the altercation but the matter was de-escalated quickly between him and the police officers.
