National Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), George Opare-Addo, has been appointed the Minister-Designate for Youth Development and Empowerment.
His nomination was submitted together eleven (11) others to Parliament through the Speaker Alban Bagbin to serve as sector and regional ministers.
Out of the twelve (12) appointments, three (3) of them are Regional Ministers-Designate, with the remaining nine (9) being Ministers of State-Designate.
This brings the total of Regional Ministers-designate to thirteen (13) and Sector Ministers-designate to twelve (12).
George Opare-Add aka Pablo per the statement is a lawyer, local government official and accomplished party organizer.
Pablo was elected national youth organizer after defeating Ernest Brogya Gyamfi at the Congress of the National Democratic Congress.
He retained his position as the national Organizer for the NDC in 2022 after defeating Ernest Brogya Gyamfi with a slim margin.
Pablo has served twice as Municipal Chief Executive under late Professor John Evans Atta-Mills and former President John Dramani Mahama.
He has also been the parliamentary candidate for Okere Constituency, on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress on two occasions; in 2008 and 2012.
